Back from Maine...
We got back from Maine on Sunday. We had a nice visit with my son Andy and his wife Becky. My Grandson and Granddaughter were baptized Sunday. It was a very nice service but the grandkid's weren't thrilled having water poured on them. I posted pictures of my grandkid's FYI.
Well back to photography. I lost another lens cover. I should buy them by the gross. hmm... Still working on my web site. Its coming along OK but preparing all the photos is taking a long time. I'm hoping to do some astrophotography this weekend as well as taking some 4 of July fireworks photos. Does anyone have any suggestions on photographing fireworks? Well the boss is calling I got to get to work around the house, so I will continue Later...

A great day at Sugar Hill...
We arrived at Sugar Hill late morning and had breakfast at Pollys Pancake House. Merlin and Dee come here every year for breakfast and to photograph the Lupine's. The Lupine's were still in bloom and we spent hours getting great pictures. Merlin had his 4x5 Camera with him. Being the professional that he is, he searched for the best location and waited for the light to be just right. He only took 4 shots the whole day, but they were great, as usual. As for my self, I shot over 150 pictures with about 6 photo's worth printing. All my photos were digital RAW format. I'll post some.
After our trip I had to get back to setting up the new Hard Drive. What a pain...

Starting from the beginning again! :>(
Well my HD is really dead. I just installed a 160GB HD and it works fine. Now the hard part, trying to install all the software and reinstalling all my photos.
Well tomorrow my wife JoAnn and I will be going north to Sugar Hill, NH to photograph the Lupines. Got a new tripod for Father's Day. It real cool lighter than my old one, has a quick release feature. (Use to change cameras on the tripod quickly) We'll be trying it out tomorrow. We will be meeting friends of ours Merlin and Dee. Merlin is professional photographs and has published in many magazines and shows. He will be giving me some tips on flower photography. I'll post a few photos that were taken. Well... till tomorrow. The Beginning has just haulted!
Happy Father's Day! My main computer's hard drive is DEAD! #%&$@ Well now that I got that off my keyboard. I did have a nice day anyway. My wife JoAnn and I spent a quiet day at home.
My big problem tomorrow is trying to recover data off the bad drive. I backed up 4 weeks ago and was going to backup this week.
We will see if I can get luckey and recover some data...

And the beginning continues...
Today I've been working on my photography web site and its coming along slowly. But it should be done soon. (I hope) I borrowed a 500mm lense, for my Nikon N70, from a friend and will be going to northern New Hampshire to photograph Lupine's. What? That was my first reaction but they are a beautiful purple flower. There are some large fields of them they should make for some good photos. Well thats all for today...

In the beginning...
It is said that "A photograph is worth a thousand postings". I plan to post my photos on this blog and talk photography. I recently got a new SLR Camera from Santa, a Canon EOS Digital Rebel. This camera is great! I would recommend it to any anyone, serious about their Photography. A bit pricey ($1000+) but worth it. I am also into Astrophotography which is photographing the night sky. I have been very interested in low light photography. I'll try and post a couple photos with this posting. So I'll throw you a Moon or two. Till next time have a Great Day!
